Cynthia Henderson is a speaker at trade shows which are directed to interior designers, architects, artists, project managers, facility managers, landlords and builders.
The seminars she has participated in on accessibility are;
- As a moderator at the Accessibility Summit at IIDEX 2017. The panellists were the Managing Director of Collaborative Aging, a Professor in the Interior Design department of Sheridan College, an Occupational Therapist and the VP of the Rick Hansen Foundation,
- As a presenter of a Seminar on Universal Design: ‘What property managers and owners need to know’ with Ontario Performance Consultants (OPC), at Springfest April 5, 2018,
- As a presenter of ‘What large and small private sector organizations need to know about the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)’ with OPC at Steelcase offices November 1, 2018,
- As one of the speakers at a seminar held at Steelcase offices to discuss accessible design and the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) with OPC April 10, 2019,
- As a presenter of a seminar with OPC sponsored by BOMA at the Board of Trade on ‘What property managers and owners need to know about the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)’ April 11, 2019, and
- As a participant on a panel at the conference Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) to share a designer’s view of how elevator installations work in residential applications on November 28, 2019.
