A 1970’s country passive solar house was built into the hill facing south. The original design was maintained through the renovation to enhance the sustainable features.
A new residential development on 5 acres in Stayner, Ontario has a storm water pond to collect, store water and reuse water for the gardens of 38 new dwellings. Geothermal heating is to be considered for the development.
Steel containers were reused to build a 3 story 12 suite apartment building. The goal was to reduce construction costs. The modular containers were added on to and cut out to create one and two bedroom suites.
